Programs


In addition to the “classic” fall, spring, and summer program models, the NC State European Center offers alternative programs, such as summer internships. All courses are NC State credits.

Fall Programs

Students Overlooking the Vltava River

Fall Classic Program

A semester-long program where students earn at least 12 credit hours. Courses are taught by European instructors and utilize a combination of classroom instruction and field trips that enhance the content by using the city of Prague as an alternative classroom.

Fall Prague Connect Program

A highly structured twelve-week long program designed specifically for incoming first-year students admitted to NC State as “Spring Connection.” Students will earn NC State credits, using the city and NC State Prague as their classroom.

Spring Programs

Spring Classic Program

The Spring Classic Program is a semester-long program in which students take at least 12 NC State credits. An immersive survival language course, cultural excursions, and in-country and out-of-country excursions are included.

Global Leadership Minor

The interdisciplinary minor is designed to give students a competitive edge in the global workforce. Students will earn 12 credit hours abroad towards a minor in 10 weeks. The nomadic program has modules in the Czech Republic and two other European locations.

Summer Session ONE Programs

Summer Classic Program

A six-week-long summer program where students select two or more courses. Courses are taught by European instructors and utilize a combination of classroom instruction and field trips that enhance the content by using the city of Prague as an alternative classroom.

Summer E101 Program: Introduction to Engineering and Problem-Solving

A six-week-long program where students enroll in E 101, taught by an NC State faculty member, plus one additional course from the Classic Program options.
