The European Center has been a study-abroad destination for UNC system students since 2005, offering high-quality academic programs committed to immersive experiential learning.

We offer affordable STEM and general education courses. We also cooperate with Charles University, the Czech Technical University, and the Czech University of Life Sciences

Location and Facilities

NC State European Center is located in Prague, the Capital of Czechia, in the historical center, near Old Town Square, in a three-story building from the 14th century.

Facilities in the heart of the city

  • Classrooms accommodating 15-20 students each.
  • Studio spaces that can accommodate up to 35 students.
  • Large multipurpose rooms that accommodate up to 50.
  • Other features: Library, Computer Lab, Photography Studio, Fully Equipped Workshop, Student Lounge, Kitchen and Dining Area, and Outdoor Courtyard

Housing

  • NC State housing
  • Czech Dorm Mates, assisting with students’ intercultural learning in Prague
  • 20 minutes commute by public transport to the Center

Semester Program Cost

  • Non-Degree Studies application fee: $40* (non-refundable, due at the time of application)
  • Setup Fee: $75 (non-refundable, due at the time of application)
  • Study Abroad Fee: $375 (due at time of commitment)
