Choosing to study abroad can greatly enhance one’s personal, academic, and professional growth.
“”Not only did study abroad push me to connect with others, it also grew my sense of independence tremendously. I came back to the US more confident, more independent and self-sufficient, and happier!”

Get ready for an exciting takeover tomorrow! Hannah and Noelle, best friends since age 2, will be sharing their study abroad adventures. This is a fantastic story, marking a first for the NC State European Center, as it hosts two lifelong friends on the same academic journey and now enjoying the same study abroad experience. Let them introduce themselves and tell you all about their takeover!
Dobrý Den! We are Hannah Hanes and Noelle Childs and we have been best friends since we were two. We are both Genetics majors in the College of Science at NC State. We are doing the NC State Prague classic summer program. We are from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. (Yes, we are pretty much the same person) (We are also in the same sorority @deltazetancsu) We studied abroad because we both love traveling, exploring new places, and seeking out new adventures. As STEM majors, we wanted to take a break from our usual science and math courses and try something different. We are both taking Food and Society and different Language/Culture classes. For our Take Over today, we have a field trip to a brewery for our Food and Society class and then will be taking you around to some of our favorite spots in prague!

This could be you next summer 🌲🛶
The NC State European Center in Prague has officially kicked off the Summer I semester! To celebrate the first week of classes, 149 of our study abroad students wrapped up orientation with our favorite annual tradition: a 3-day trip to the historic town of Český Krumlov in Czech Republic, ending with a scenic rafting trip down the Vltava River.
For students looking to expand their horizons, the NC State European Center in Prague offers a home away from home in the heart of Europe. As NC State’s only permanent international facility, the center hosts hundreds of students each year for fall, spring, and summer terms with over 30 courses and summer internship opportunities!
Whether you are fulfilling GEP requirements, diving into core courses for your major, or looking to experience a rich new culture while earning NC State credit, studying in Prague opens the door to a global Wolfpack community.

Hey yall! My name is Haley Evenson and I’m from Apex, North Carolina. I’m majoring in Nuclear Engineering and Science, Technology, and Society and minoring in French. I chose to spend my summer abroad in Prague to gain an international perspective in engineering and immerse myself in a new culture and it has already been an incredible experience!
Haley is part of our Prague Summer E101 program and will take you for a day (tomorrow Friday!) on an exciting field trip to the Škoda car manufacturer’s factory and museum located in Mladá Boleslav, a city just north of Prague. Have your questions ready for Haley!
