The European Center
In the heart of the old town, on a small square called the Small Square (Malé Náměstí), you’ll find The NC State Unversity European Center in Prague housed within a 3 story 15th-16th century building.
Although this may sound quaint, you’ll find the institute equipped with all the modern facilities you’ll need to get the most out of your studies. There are classrooms, lecture rooms and studio spaces, computer labs, a virtual reality lab, a library, a lounge complete with a communal cooking area, spaces for socializing, holding movie nights, a wonderful court yard with furnitures for relaxation. Even located in the very touristic part of Prague the interior offer you a silent and beautiful surrounding for your study in Prague.
Besides the beautiful class rooms and nice studios we have the Grand Hall. This we use fo special events, for exhibitions and small concerts.
Free WiFi is available throughout the premises and you’re encouraged to bring your own laptops. The building is services by a 24 hours reception. Lockable storage lockers are available for students close to the student lounge.
A studio space for up to 36 students attending up to 3 different studios is provided to each student in a relevant program. The set up is complete with large work tables, ample lighting, good chairs, pin up boards and everything you might need.
All class rooms are equiped with computer and big screen for communication. Class rooms are basically for up to 12-14 students, since we only in special situataions accept bigger classes than 14.
Our lab contains 14 powerful dual boot iMacs, large format printers and high quality scanner. The computer lab is located next to the library so we se the two functions as our information center.
The central kitchen is perfect for fixing a quick bite to eat, or inviting your fellow students to join you for dinner. It is equipped with refrigerators, a stoves, sink, and ample cabinet space for dry goods. Cooking utensils, dishes and tableware are provided and maintained by the students. We believe that a productive atmosphere must include space to take a break, relax, and refuel, so a large part of the kitchen is also a common room with seating for dining and lounging.
Study space and Library
The NC State Prague has a minor library which also function as class room for smaller courses and even as a study room for individual students.
