Course Description

This course covers the history of jazz and the contributions of its major artists. Emphasis is placed on the various styles that have contributed to this American art form and with an investigation of the structural forms in the jazz idiom. This particular course at the Institute will also examine the global influences of jazz through Czech stylings.
