Why did you choose to study abroad?

I thought it would be a good experience for me to leave home and see new places. Also I love to travel so I was very excited at the chance to go overseas.

What did you learn about yourself?A student, Kaitlyn, with her friend in Český Krumlov.

How independent I could be. Also, I always thought of myself as a shy person, but I felt like I was able to be myself during this trip.

What was one of your favorite parts of your program?

Independence to explore on our own and make our own friends.

What advice do you have to future study abroad students? A student, Kaitlyn, with her friend at a bridge with Prague Castle in thebackground.

Do it! You will meet new people who may very well become your best friends 🙂

Were you surprised by anything during your time abroad?

How much of a different person I became. I was much more outgoing and I never had seen that side of myself before.

How were your classes abroad different than if you would have taken them at NC State?Did you take any field trips or do anything outside of the traditional classroom?

I enjoyed taking the class abroad because it was like a crash course for what I was about to experience in college. It prepared me well for the real thing.

Would you do it again?

Yes 100000%
